Friday June 24nd, 2005 In somewhat of a shocker we've been informed by Jean-Michel Aulas of the real offer for Essien. It appears as though Real Madrid, and not Chelsea, attempted to use their money to get Essien playing for them. They made an offer of £25 million which was turned down by Lyon.
